What To Expect
Streamline your setup and enhance your diving freedom with the SSI Sidemount Specialty Diver Course at Bali Celebes Dive. This 3-day program is designed for divers who want to master the sidemount configuration using their own equipment, combining a confined water session and 4 open water dives for both skill and comfort development.
Your course begins at our dive center with a detailed equipment workshop, where our experienced instructors help you fine-tune your sidemount setup for optimal trim, balance, and hose routing. In the confined water session, you’ll practice basic skills such as proper weighting, gas management, valve drills, and buoyancy control while adapting to the unique feel of sidemount diving.
Once you’re comfortable, you’ll move to 4 open water dives at Bali’s best training sites around Tulamben and Amed, including opportunities to dive the USAT Liberty Wreck. Each dive focuses on improving efficiency, streamlining your movements, and building confidence in real dive conditions.
By the end of the course, you’ll earn your SSI Sidemount Specialty certification, gaining the freedom and comfort that sidemount diving offers—plus the skills to dive safely and efficiently anywhere in the world.
